I never thought we would have another year like the last one! But here we are - at the tail end of another very noteworthy year.
At the end of 2020 I wrote that it was the year of: tragic bushfires, floods, the great toilet paper panic, Covid-19 pandemic, Karen, lockdowns, sourdough starter, the word unprecedented as common vernacular, protests, the BLM movement, and the Beirut explosion. And to top it off, it was also a Leap Year - like we needed an extra day!
2021 was not too dissimilar - it was the year of: the continuation of Covid-19, QR codes, the alpha strain, the omicron strain, a four month lockdown, working from home, remote learning, daily Gladys and Kerry, vaccination, pro-vaxx, anti-vaxx, proof of vaxx, protests, open borders, closed borders, Ash Barty, Gladys Berejiklian, Cleo Smith, Bert Newton and a milestone birthday for me.
But we made it - again!
On another note, I continued to build my business and worked with some amazing new clients -
Mottle Studio, Walumarra, Real Pretty Kind, Skincare Sundays, Omya Spot, My Medical Organiser, Grevillea Law, Baked Republic, Best For Planet, Pullen & Co., Klionee, Kickin it Kids, Unlax Candles, Ruby Industries, Bloom and Bud, Pink Hibiscus, Gillette, Miss K Skin and continued with old favourites (hello Baked by Keiran and oh-hello!).
I photographed gorgeous linen bags and hats, household waste free products, bright kids tshirts, luminous crystals, sweet-smelling candles, children’s yoga mats, cute gift boxes, practical medical diaries and will kits, earth-friendly compostable mailers, earthy vases and vessels, flowers, face oils, lip and eye masks, beautiful skincare, and plumbing products (yes, you read that last one correctly - hello Ruby Industries!) I also photographed so many sweet and savoury pastries and cakes and Christmas goodies.
I’m also excited to start 2022 with some wonderful new clients - stay tuned!
Thank you for your love and support in 2021.
I’m so looking forward to 2022 and have my eyes on Lapland - north of the arctic circle and Portugal for a warmer experience (Covid permitting - and let's face it, it's not looking good at the moment!)
I’ll be off line for the first few weeks of January.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! 🎄🎄🎄
