Happy Easter!
I hope you’re having a great few days off work. If you’re a teacher - You. Deserve. All. The. Time.
If you’re a health or emergency worker - You. Guys. Are. the. Best!
We spent the Easter weekend playing Zoom Trivia with three other couples in their respective homes. What a blast! We spent some time cooking and a whole lot of time, eating. On Saturday, we wanted to drive down to Shoalhaven Heads to drop off some groceries to my parents. And I mean literally dropping off groceries at the front door, knocking, then running away. We decided against it, because well... safety and quarantine rules and $1000 on the spot fine.
This is the first year we can’t deliver Easter eggs to Billie, Hudson and Frankie and hang out with them. We did FaceTime them today though, and played hamburger on Messenger. Have you tried that?
But I’m hoping to get a bit of the Easter vibe going with Andrea Bocelli when he streams a special live concert at Duomo di Milano at 7pm tonight in a bid to send 'love, healing and hope' to Italy and the world amid the COVID-19 crisis. The Italian opera singer, 61, has been granted exclusive access to the currently closed Milan cathedral by the Archpriest, Monsignor Gianantonio Borgonovo, and Mayor, Giuseppe Sala. Bocelli will only be accompanied by Duomo di Milano's organist, Emanuele Vianelli, where he shall perform the likes of Ave Maria and Sancta Maria. If he sings Ave Maria and The Prayer, you’ll definitely find me sobbing.
The only problem is that 7pm CET is 3am Monday morning on the east coast of Australia.
In the meantime, between now and 3am, I’ll be right here #fatteningthecurves.
Stay safe!
